One child 5 - 15 years of age travels free with each full paying adult or senior; just ask for the free BritRail Family Pass. Additional children age 5 - 15 pay half the full adult fare. Children under 5 are free. Many local trains in England, Wales and Scotland have 2nd class accommodations only. This is allowed for in the 1st class pass price.
